Job Description
Our client is currently seeking experienced Site Managers with a background in main contracting and a proven track record of working as the lead on large-scale projects. As a result of their success and expansion, with several ongoing and upcoming projects, they are actively seeking to hire an experienced Site Manager for a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients and provide progress reports on the construction project.
- Supervise contracted construction workers to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors involved in the project.
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain construction site safety standards.
- Review and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings.
- Implement quality control checks to ensure the project meets the required standards.
- Motivate the workforce and maintain a positive work environment throughout the project.
- Solve day-to-day problems that may arise during construction.
- Utilize specialized construction management computer applications.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Possess a First Aid at Work qualification.
- Hold a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
- Familiarity with MOD (Ministry of Defence) works and procedures.
- Proficient in IT skills relevant to construction management.
- Previous experience in principal contracting.
- Possess a valid driving license.
