Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

A successful and growing property development company is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will ideally have some exposure / experience as a Quantity Surveyor with strong administration skills.

As the company is rapidly growing, they are looking for a candidate that can thrive in a fast paced environment and are self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Duties:

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze project specifications
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to determine project requirements
• Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
• Conduct on-site inspections to assess progress and quality of work
• Prepare and present reports on project costs, progress, and potential risks
• Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
• Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of cost control

Salary: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

Education: Bachelor’s (required)

Experience: surveying: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)
