Overview:
A prominent Education Technology provider is in search of a Senior Project Manager who possesses substantial expertise in the deployment of Intranet solutions within large and intricate global organizations. The ideal candidate should have recent experience in successfully implementing Intranet Solutions using Office 365 and SharePoint.
The task at hand involves overseeing the implementation of the new intranet. This encompasses crafting and executing the project plan, guaranteeing efficient design, seamless systems integration, the establishment of a governance model, effective content management practices, adept change management, robust stakeholder engagement, and achieving widespread employee adoption.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Intranet Strategy Review: Assess the current intranet strategy to ensure its viability and effectiveness.
- Project Planning: Utilize requirements gathered and user journey research to develop a comprehensive project plan. Collaborate closely with suppliers, technical teams, and stakeholders.
- Dependency Mapping: Identify and chart dependencies and potential risks while devising mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Plan and oversee stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with the project timeline, budget, and the realization of benefits outlined in the business case.
- Data Utilization: Define how people data will be harnessed, connecting SAP Success Factors or Active Directory with the intranet to enable audience targeting and user personalization.
- Content Migration: Collaborate with the supplier and site owners to create and execute a content migration plan.
- Integration Strategy: Develop a strategy for seamless integration with Microsoft 365 and other systems, promoting a cohesive employee experience and encouraging the use of 365 applications.
- Governance Structure: Establish an effective governance structure, collaborating with leaders across business areas and regions. This involves creating a network of site owners and editors, clearly defining roles and responsibilities among communications teams, technology teams, and other stakeholders.
- Change Management: Formulate a change management plan to ensure a smooth implementation process and drive high adoption rates.
- Training & Support: Work with the supplier to provide training and support to a global network of site owners and editors, ensuring consistent management of all sites with high-quality content and an ongoing training program.
- Information Governance & Security: Ensure compliance with Information Governance and Security policies and processes.
- Metadata Management: Implement robust procedures for maintaining high-quality metadata and ensuring an accurate and effective search function.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Project Management Qualification: Possess a recognized project management qualification.
- Intranet Implementation: Demonstrate significant experience in successfully implementing intranet solutions within large and complex global organizations.
- Office 365 Proficiency: Possess in-depth knowledge of Office 365, including advanced proficiency in SharePoint.
- Stakeholder Management: Exhibit highly effective senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Internal Communication Expertise: Understand internal communication practices and how intranets contribute to the internal communication channels mix.
- Metrics and User Experience: Have advanced knowledge of using research and metrics to enhance the user experience and boost engagement with content.
- Change Management: Showcase change management experience and a track record of achieving high employee adoption of new intranets.
- User Training: Have experience in developing and conducting intranet user training programs.
- Information Risks and Security: Possess a clear understanding of information risks and security in relation to intranet technology, people data, and content management.
