are representing a leading national housing association, who are looking to appoint a Maintenance Surveyor to strengthen their Repairs and Maintenance directorate covering the Southwest. They’re looking for an experienced social housing surveyor to aid on responsive, cyclical and void repairs, plus project work on aids and adaptations and disrepair.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing an efficient repairs and maintenance service at an operational level.
- Conducting diagnostic inspections, surveys, and preparing reports.
- Effectively managing budgets for the region.
- Handling disrepair claims.
- Collaborating with in-house teams, contractors, and external sub-contractors.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- A degree in Building Surveying, or a minimum of HNC/HND qualification.
- Demonstrable knowledge of building construction, standards, planning regulations, health and safety, and landlord compliance.
- Experience in financial management and contractor management.
- Excellent communication skills.
