About the role

As a Business Development Representative, your job will focus on three areas:

1. Lead Generation

2. Demo Stage

3. Sales admin

1.Lead Generation

Identify prospects (key roles /titles) using LinkedIn, CRM and any other relevant channels.

Lead on outbound lead generation- with an aim to take a prospect to Demo stage – across 4 key channels:

  • Cold outbound email
  • Direct marketing via email and Linked in
  • Monthly webinar
  • Conferences
  • Website – email capture and curate mailing list

2.Demo Stage

Support CEO by ensuring thorough demo preparation, execution and follow ups – to include:

Discovery call:

  • Diarise + set up a call with CEO and the right individuals
  • Build an initial relationship
  • Run Discovery question set – short and open style
  • Establish any specific demo needs
  • Capture key learnings in Pipedrive
  • Lead on adjusting demo to customer requirements

Demo Preparation and Execution:

  • Diary co-ordination
  • Research attendees and job titles
  • Confirm attendees
  • Agree agenda with prospect in advance
  • Ensure pre-demo checklist is completed
  • Lead on demo environment set up, servers started, test data configured on website
  • Update and amend sales deck to align with the prospect’s needs.

3.Sales Administration

  • Review and update and rationalise key sales documentation currently
  • Ensure Pipedrive is kept fully up to date with:
  • Relevant individual’s details (name, surname, email, phone no).
  • Learnings gleaned from sales meetings in easy to read notes form.
  • Ensuring there is always a clear next step.
  • Any relevant news stories about the prospect e.g. a merger that could impact the deal.

Skills and Experience

  • Lead generation experience for a B2B or enterprise focussed software / SaaS company
  • Outgoing, friendly and positive style with ability to build a relationship with potential customers
  • Disciplined – in managing their time when working remotely or at the office to achieve the needs of the role. Ability to work alone or remotely effectively.
  • Organised – ensuring a “systematic” approach across the sales process in follow ups etc with good attention to detail.
